[Pretend to sit.]

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.

[Tell students, “Something great is very big.” Pretend to fall down.]

All the king’s horses,

[Gallop in place.]

And all the king’s men,

[Salute like a soldier.]

Couldn’t put Humpty together again.

[Tell students, “They could not put him back into one piece.” Shake your head

and make a sad face.]
