Grilled Lemon Green Beans


2 pounds green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly g round b lack pepper
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons torn fresh basil

Prepare a g rill for medium-hig h heat.

Toss the green beans with the o live o il, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/ 2
teaspoon pepper i n a large bowl. Put a Food Network~ Grilling
Topper Tray on the grill. add half of the beans in a single layer and
cook, stirring occasionally, until the beans are lightly charred and
crisp-tender, 6 to 7 minutes. Transfer t o a platter and repeat with the
remaining beans. Top with the lemon juice and basil.

Yield: 6 to 8 servings

Skillet Cherry Cobbler


4 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cups pitted fresh or frozen cherries,
thawed if frozen
3 tablespoons cornst arch
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
7 tablespoons sugar

One 16.3-ounce tube refrigerat ed biscuit dough
1 t easpoon g round cinnamon
Vani lla ice cream, for serving

Preheat the oven to 375 deg rees F.

Melt the butter in a Food Network"' 12-ln. Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron
Skillet over medium heat and swirl around the ski llet to coat. Pour the
but ter into a large bowl and reserve.

Toss the cherries with the cornst arch, salt and 3 tablespoons of the
sugar in a separate large bowl. Spread the cherry mixture in an even
layer in the skillet. Cut the b iscuits into quarters and add to the bowl
w it h the butter. Add the cinnamon and remaining 4 tablespoons sugar
and toss until evenly coated. Top the cherry mixture with the biscuits.

Bake until the biscuits are d eep gold en brown and the cherries are
bubbling, 35 to 40 m inutes. Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve with
ice cream.
Yield: 4 to 6 servings

Hibiscus Iced Tea


1 cup sugar
One 2-inch p iece fresh ginger,
peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
1 lemon, peel removed in wide strips
and lemon juiced
1 cup dark rum, optional

Comb ine the sugar, ginger and 4 cups cold water in a medium saucepan
and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and stir in the hibiscus flowers and 3
strips of the lemon peel; steep 8 to 10 minutes.

Strain t he tea into a pitcher and stir in the lemon juice, 2 cups ice. 2 cups
cold water and rum, if using. Serve in the Food Network'" Mosston 4·pe.
Highball Glass Set over i ce with the remaining lemon peel strips.
