PEPPERMINT HOT COCOA
ACTIVE: 10 min l TOTAL: 10 min l SERVES: 2


2 cups milk
¼ cup sugar
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup chopped mint chocolate
Marshmallows and mini candy canes, for garnish



  1. Combine the milk, sugar and cocoa powder in a
    medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, whisking
    occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved, about
    3 minutes. Add the mint chocolate and cook,
    whisking, until melted, about 2 minutes.

  2. Ladle the hot cocoa into mugs. Add a few
    marshmallows and a mini candy cane to each.


PEPPERMINT WHITE HOT COCOA
ACTIVE: 10 min l TOTAL: 10 min l SERVES: 2

2 cups half-and-half
2 tablespoons sugar
¼ teaspoon peppermint extract
⅔ cup chopped white chocolate
Whipped cream and peppermint sticks, for garnish


  1. Combine the half-and-half, sugar and peppermint
    extract in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium
    heat, whisking occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved,
    about 3 minutes. Add the white chocolate and cook,
    whisking, until melted, about 2 minutes.

  2. Ladle the hot cocoa into mugs. Top with whipped
    cream and add a peppermint stick to each.
