fans said they don’t eat them.

But this heart is different—it’s

a giant cake! To create the

supersize sweet, we turned two

cakes into a heart shape (check

out the trick on the next page),

then we covered the whole thing

in a homemade marshmallow

fondant. For the message, you

just need food coloring...and

something sweet to say!

HEART CAKE

ACTIVE: 40 min l TOTAL: 1½ hr l SERVES: 12

Cooking spray

2 15- to 16-ounce boxes vanilla cake mix

(plus required ingredients)

1 16-ounce tub white frosting

1 10-ounce bag marshmallows

¼ cup water

8 drops green liquid food coloring

2 1-pound boxes confectioners’ sugar

4 tablespoons unsalted butter,

at room temperature

Hot pink or red liquid food coloring,

for the letters
