Bob started his Project ’40 build with an
original frame from a 1940 Ford Fordor
Sedan that had a V8-60 engine. Notice
the engine mounts and the fender yoke.
Bob said it would be “sacrilegious”
to install a non-Ford engine. He
chose the new 340-horsepower
Ford Boss 302 with GT-40
heads, and a Ford C-5 auto
transmission turning a
Ford 9" rear end.To prep the frame for the new power plant and drive
train, it was first necessary to remove some of the
