upagain,there’sa lotofbesaidfor

rememberingtoslowdownandfind

comfortinthekitchen.Therecipes

andstoriesinthisissueareintended

to helpyourelishtheslowbothnow

andinthefuture.Becauseit’struly

a lesson worth remembering.

tothekitchen(nowconveniently

locatedthreestepsfrommydining

table-turned-desk).Likemostpeople,

myweekdaycookingis typically

restrictedtoanythingthatcanbe

whippedupinlessthan 30 minutes

andrequiresminimalwashingup.

SuddenlyI hadthetimeandflexibility

toembracetheslow.I learnedtopotter

andbreakupmyworkingdaywithmini

sojournsinthekitchen,simmering

stocksandbraisesinbetweenemails

and Zoom calls. It kept me sane.
