Where there are eagles, there
will always be a dramatic and
dynamic shot to be captured.
Bjørn has placed himself in
the right place at the right
time here to witness these
two golden eagles fight over
food. Leaving plenty of
room to frame the entire
environment gives the viewer
just enough scale as the
scene unfolds. It’s often
tempting to zoom in as far as
possible, often leading to wing
spans being cropped out.
The natural warm brown
and orange tones of the birds
sit beautifully against the
cool blue backdrop. It’s an
incredible sight to behold, and
one that many of us will never
get to see with our own eyes.2nd Place
