THE FUTURE OF DESIGN ON iOS
This year’s Apple Design Award winners
demonstrate just how far iOS and macOS
have come in recent years, and how new
introductions like iPadOS and Project Catalyst
on the Mac will further empower developers to
build world-changing apps that fulfill the wants
and desires of users everywhere. It would be
wrong to favor just one or two apps from this
year’s list, but the incredible AI enhancements
of HomeCourt, the ingenuity of Butterfly iQ and
the beauty of Gardens Between speak volumes
as to why iOS is the world’s favorite operating
system - and why developers continue to flock
to Apple’s ecosystems to build their software.
And as developers try harder to capture our
attention and revolutionize the way we create
and play, exciting new adventures can be had
in the palm of our hands. Just take Harry Potter:
Wizards Unite. Released last week on iOS, the
game attracted 400,000 downloads and more
than $300,000 in in-app spending on day one
off of the success of the franchise - further
proof that the mobile gaming craze is only just
beginning. And with Apple Arcade just around
the corner, there’s a lot more fun to come...
