A ROW OF SLENDER coconut palms sway
lazily in the breeze against a pink-and-
purple sky as night descends upon Miami
Beach. Bronzed patrons make their way
into a chic edifice fashioned from concrete
and glass before retreating inside for a
night of revelry. This is Planta South Beach.
Flanked by the warm waters of the Atlantic
to the left and the lapping, teal waves of
Biscayne Bay to the right, the year-old,
upscale, plant-based eatery has quickly
become one of the most buzzed about
destinations in the country.
Originally imagined as an after-dark-
only concept by Miami restaurateur and
nightlife king David Grutman, the allureof Planta South Beach has attracted some
of Hollywood’s hottest, including Pharrell
Williams, Adriana Lima, and Bella Hadid.
Now open during daytime hours, it still
boasts the A-listers, but it’s the unique
brand of eclectic, highly refined food that
takes center stage.A night at South Beach’s Planta may result in a Bella Hadid
sighting, but rest assured: your attention will be firmly set
on the artfully crafted sushi, killer cocktails, and swirling
