MAINTENANCE TIP
Check the tire wear and suspension and steering components whenever the
car is on a lift, either for an oil change (every 3,000 to 5,000 miles) or tire
rotation (every 6 months or 6,000 miles). This way, if a negative tire-wear
pattern crops up, you can correct it immediately. As a rule of thumb,
carmakers suggest an alignment check every 12 months or 12,000 miles,
whichever comes first.
