The tread wear rating gives an indication of how long the tread of a particular tire will last on a vehicle. Now
the estimated tread life given is assuming the alignment angles are kept perfect, tire rotations are done every
6,000 miles or six months, inflation is kept up according to the sidewall specs, and steering and suspension
components are replaced and realigned when worn. Of course this is not real world unless you are meticulous
when it comes to tire maintenance. Most people are not.
