metal ramps.
Most, if not all, of today’s cars do not have a separate chassis or frame. Instead, the body and chassis
are combined in a unibody construction. You must take care in jacking a new vehicle to avoid
damaging it. The owner’s or shop manual will identify the places underneath the vehicle where it is
safe to place a jack. If you are not sure, ask a qualified mechanic for your make and model vehicle.
