Tom,

Q I own an ‘87 Ford Tempo with 75,000 miles. The e-brake light comes on

during acceleration (25 to 35 miles per hour) and may turn off after a while,
but usually it remains on until deceleration (at which time it turns off at about
20 miles per hour).

Thomas,

A Have the e-brake light switch checked. Sounds like it has come loose

from its bracket and is making and breaking connection during driving,
causing the light to intermittently come on and off.
