How to Make Your Car Last Forever: Avoid Expensive Repairs, Improve Fuel Economy, Understand Your Warranty, Save Money

(singke) #1

This machine is an example of an upper carbon cleaning and fuel injector–cleaning machine. During the
process, the air intake is cleaned with a carbon cleaner and then the machine pumps a high-strength carbon
and fuel system cleaner into the injection system via the fuel injection rail. The vehicle is run with this cleaner
being fed into the engine for long enough to thoroughly soak into the varnish and carbon deposits built up in
the fuel system and engine. After running for a while, the engine is shut off, allowing the cleaner to further
penetrate and liquefy the varnish and carbon. Then the engine is started up again after another cleaner is
added to the gas tank. This service is necessary every 35,000 miles or so to ensure proper fuel delivery,
efficient combustion, and maximum fuel mileage. Check your owner’s manual for exact mileage
recommendations. Photo courtesy of Snap-On
