How to Make Your Car Last Forever: Avoid Expensive Repairs, Improve Fuel Economy, Understand Your Warranty, Save Money

(singke) #1

In a perfect world with no dirt, grit, or grime to contaminate our cars’ systems
we might realize this kind of mileage between services, but this is simply not the
case. Your car must have regular maintenance checks. Have the plugs pulled and
inspected every 20,000 miles for misfire and wear. When reinstalling them, clean
the threads, lubricate them with never-seize (a special lubricant designed to stop
the welding of the threads), and re-gap them and reinstall (properly torquing
them to factory specs). Head off problems before they cost you an arm and a leg.
