Fuel filters vary in size and exterior design. On low-pressure systems the filter usually connects in the fuel line
with hoses and clamps. On fuel-injected systems, which operate at higher pressures, the fuel filter connects
into the lines with flare nut or compression fittings because of the higher pressure at which they operate. Fuel
filters can be located under the body inside a frame rail, inside the fuel tank, on carbureted systems, inside the
carburetor, and sometimes in the engine compartment.
