The jack is designed to fit in a particular place. On modern vehicles the jacking point is often where sheet
metal comes together to form a ridge, called a pinch weld. Check the jacking instructions or owner’s manual.
This scissor jack rises when you turn a nut on one end. The wrench that turns the nut is the same one used to
loosen the wheel’s lug nuts. Do not work under a vehicle supported by a tire jack. It does not provide adequate
lift, stability, or safety for that purpose.
