corded reciprocating saw,
the Super Sawzall, has been
famous for decades. Its rep-
utation rests on being able
to cut through just about
anything. And yet for all its
fame, the company’s new
18-volt model gives that
corded version a run for its
money. We used it to effi-
ciently chew through steel,
rebar, and lumber. It’s
got plentiful rubber, but
we particularly appreci-
ate its spring-loaded blade
lock lever. Push the lever to
open the chuck and insert
a blade; press it again to
unlock the blade. It’s far
better than the old twisting
