New linings are carefully positioned, then secured to the cleaned
shoes with new rivets. The proper use of the correct equipment
ensures that the linings are not loose on the shoe.
A tight fit between the lining and shoe, as well as smooth, even
rolls on the rivets without cracks, are a sign of a job well done. If
your job doesn’t look like this, start over — or buy new or
professionally relined shoes.
