The end of the cable was photographed in the old top before it was
removed and run through the new top. To the left of the cable end
is a sleeve in the top where the cable runs through.
The many layers of trim and material are shown in these views. To
reveal each layer, screws and other fasteners, including glue, were
carefully removed and labeled to preserve the original materials
and to label their original location. Old glue was removed from
parts that were reused to ensure the new adhesive bonds.
