supplier added driver details in the app, the driver received
an SMS to which he had to reply with ‘Y’. It denoted consent
by the driver to track him through his SIM card. Once the
item was dispatched (the trip was created) by the supplier,
we got an email notification with all the details for vehicle,
driver, and equipment being dispatched.
The manager’s app/portal listed all trips from various
suppliers and a link to a map for tracking purpose. At
any time, tracking gave a current location, total distance
to destination, distance travelled, number and location of
stoppages on a real-time basis.
