bedrooms,spreadoverthreefloors,sotherewashuge

installdouble-glazingaccordingtoconservationrules.
Thecouple’smostpressingissuewasa lackoflight
inthekitchen,theoldestpartofthehouse– withoutany
connectiontothegarden,it feltdarkandisolated.‘The
househadbeeninthehandsofmultiplegenerationsof
thesamefarmingfamilywhoprobablydidn’twanttobe
remindedoftheirplaceofwork.I guesstheydeliberately
