SEED SQUARE (MAKE 2)
Begin at base.
Cast on 45 sts using 4mm needles and Yarn G.
Rows 1 to 3 Knit.
Row 4 (WS) *K8, kfb; rep from * to end. [50 sts]
Row 5 K3, *K1, P1; rep from * to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 6 Knit.
Rows 7 to 58 Rep Rows 5 and 6 twenty-six times.
Row 59 *K8, k2tog; rep from * to end. [45 sts]
Rows 60 to 62 Knit.
Cast off.
MINI MOO SQUARE (MAKE 1)
Begin at base.
Cast on 22 sts using 4mm needles and Yarn D.
Rows 1 to 4 Knit.
Row 5 (RS) Knit.
Row 6 K3, P to last 3 sts, K3.
Rows 7 to 26 Rep Rows 5 and 6 ten times.
Rows 27 to 30 Knit.
Cast off.
Follow the Chart to backstitch the text (Chart does not show the
garter st edge sts).
MINI BAA SQUARE (MAKE 1)
Work as given for Moo mini square, but using the Baa chart.
COLOURED MINI SQUARES (MAKE 2)
Make 1 each in Yarn G and Yarn J. Work as given for Moo mini
square, without adding any embroidery.
Knit similar squares for both the ‘baa’
and ‘moo’ words, then embroider the
words in place using backstitch
Keep your tension even when
working the backstitch to make
sure your square doesn’t pucker
As there are so many different colours in this
knitted blanket you could see if you have enough
single balls of yarn in your stash to complete the knit
