And Episode 3, not out until next

bit of nostalgia. This time, though, it

New downloadable content, expansions, and
updates revealed for the biggest games around
divide and

We may have spent
this month pulling
together news
on all the biggest
upcoming games,
but that doesn’t
mean we’ve
forgotten about all the great titles that
are already out. With summer being
the season of announcements, loads
of big games from this year and last
have new updates and expansions to
show off, and we’ve decided to round
up the most exciting – some out now,
and some coming later this year.
State Of Decay 2 fans can dive into
its new Heartland DLC right now, for
a more narrative-focused adventure.
Taking place a year and a half after the
events of the campaign, it stars two
groups of survivors – defined, named
characters rather than the randomly
generated people of the main game.
Once you’ve chosen which set
you want to play as, you’re thrown
into their personal quest. Both are
searching for people important to
them, and both will, unfortunately,
need to fight their way past more
powerful, evolved zombie creatures to
complete their mission.
Heartland’s not for the faint of,
er, heart, however. It’s significantly
trickier than the main game’s story,
and culminates in a ‘gauntlet’
sequence that even the developer
describes as “gruelling”.
Rather more light-hearted is Forza

Vermintide 2 is adding
a versus mode. Due
out in August, it’ll
allow players to go
head-to-head in the
formerly co-op-only
game, with one team
playing as the
rat-men trying to stop
the heroes from
reaching their goal.
Playable baddies will
include the skulking
Gutter Runner, man

Packmaster,
bomb-chucking
Globadier, and the
devastatingly deadly
Ratling Gunner.
