Muscles Moving the Shoulder Girdle
The muscles that move the scapula are the levator scapulae
(leh-VAY-ter SKAP-you-lee), the rhomboids (ROM-boydz),
the pectoralis (peck-toh-RAL-is) minor, and the trapezius
(trah-PEE-zee-us). The trapezius is seen superficially be-
tween the neck and the clavicle. Refer to Figure 9-7 to view
superficial anatomy of the muscles of the trunk. The ser-
ratus (sir-AYE-tis) anterior muscle looks like the teeth of a
