Sword of the Order of St. Stanislas – The ceremonial sword of Polish King Stanislas August Poniatowski, made for
the coronation ceremony in 1764. From 1765 these were the insignia of the Grand Master of the Order of St.
Stanislas and is used for the purpose of the dubbing the Knight during the investiture. Of the weapons once held by
knights, the sword is the most important one, as it symbolizes special values. First, it symbolizes vigor. Second, the
blade symbolizes ability and courage.

Wearing of Insignia with Tuxedo and Tailcoat:


  1. The broad riband (Sash) of the Order may be worn if the jacket is
    unbuttoned

  2. Only three Breast Stars may be worn on the left side of the coat.

  3. Only one Neck Badge may be worn

  4. Miniatures of Orders, decorations, and medals are worn as usual.
