Helsinki-based PES-Architects designed
the Fuzhou Strait Culture and Art Centre,
utilizing custom-made ceramics and
bamboo to represent traditional Chinese
materials. The volumes of the large-scale
project, intended to resemble the petals
of a jasmine blossom, accommodate an
opera house, a concert hall, a multi-
functional theatre, an exhibition hall
and a cinema centre, all connected by
a concourse and roof terrace.
