At a Regular Meeting of the Township Board of the Charter Township of Gaines, held on
Monday, April 12, 2021 the Township Board approved following:
A major amendment to phases 3-5 of Cook’s Crossing South within the Cook’s Crossing/
Cobblestone Corners PUD. The approved plans are titled “Cook’s Crossing/Cobblestone
Corners P.U.D. Plan” and were prepared by Exxel Engineering and last revised December
21, 2020. The amendments are itemized in a transmittal submitted by Signature Land
Development dated December 21, 2020. The property covered by this major PUD amend-
ment is located at 1089, 1103, and 1115 84th Street (parcel numbers 41-22-17-300-052;

PRESERVATION LAKES #
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Board of the Charter
Township of Gaines, Kent County, Michigan, having received petitions to
make certain pubic improvements consisting of installation, operation,
and maintenance of street lighting within the development of Preservation
Lakes #3, from record owners of land constituting more than 50% of the
land area in the special assessment district described below, has
resolved its intention to proceed on the petitions and, pursuant to Act
188 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1954, as amended, to make said
improvements in the Township.
The Township Board has tentatively determined that the cost of said
improvements shall be specially assessed against each of the following
described lots and parcels of land which are benefited by the improve-
ments and which together comprise the following proposed special
assessment district:

Township to hear and consider any objections to the petitions filed, the
proposed improvements, the proposed special assessment district, and
all other matters relating to said improvements. If it is mandated that
public meetings be held electronically, the Township will hold the meeting
via ZOOM. Login information will be available by sending a request to

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township Board shall hold a
second public hearing on the May 10, 2021, immediately after closure of
the public hearing provided for NOTED ABOVE. The purpose of the
hearing being to hear and consider comments and objections to the
Special Assessment Roll.

TO ORDINANCE REGARDING ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS
At a Regular Meeting of the Township Board of the Charter Township of Gaines,
held on Monday, April 12, 2021, the Township Board introduced for first reading a pro-
posed amendment to Ord. No. 14-04, § 1, adopted December 11, 2017, Ordinance for
Alcoholic Liquors (the “Ordinance”), the Township’s Liquor Control Ordinance, as amend-
ed. The Ordinance regulates the sale of alcohol for on-premises consumption. The
proposed amendment adds definitions, procedures and requirements for persons apply-
ing for or holding a license for a Banquet/event facility. The Township Board of the Charter
Township of Gaines will consider the proposed amendment for adoption at its Regular
Meeting on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gaines Charter Township Offices,
8555 Kalamazoo, Caledonia, Michigan. Should a virtual meeting only mandate be put in
