A vertical magenta guide will also show in the center of the brown rectangle to ensure that the
ellipse is center-aligned horizontally with the rectangle.
- Choose Select > Deselect and then choose File > Save.
Changing stroke width and alignment
So far in this lesson, you’ve mostly edited the fill of shapes but haven’t done too much with the
strokes, which are visible outlines or borders of an object or path. You can easily change the
color of a stroke or the weight of a stroke to make it thinner or thicker. You’ll do that next.
With the Selection tool ( ) selected, click the copy of the brown ellipse you made in the
previous section to select it.
Drag it on top of the half-ellipse.
