Choose Edit > Undo Move to move the path to its original position.
With the Selection tool selected, click an empty area of the artboard to deselect the path.
Select the Direct Selection tool ( ) in the Tools panel. Move the pointer anywhere over the
path between anchor points. When the pointer changes ( ), click the path to reveal all of the
anchor points.
You just selected a line segment (path). If you were to press Delete or Backspace (don’t), only
that part of the path between two anchor points would be removed.
