9. With the Join tool selected, drag across the top two ends of the “U” shaped path (see the figure

for which paths to drag across). The path ends are extended (continued) and joined.

    Select the Selection tool, and click the path you just joined. Press Shift+X to swap the fill color
    (which was none) and the stroke color (green). The stroke color is now the fill color.

    Drag the leaf over to the plant path to its right.

    Choose Select > Deselect.
