You don’t need to select the shape to make a mask. I really just wanted you to see how big it

was and notice where it was positioned.

   Choose Select > Deselect.

   Select the Phone Content layer to highlight it in the Layers panel. Click the Make/Release
   Clipping Mask button ( ) at the bottom of the Layers panel.
