Adding transparency to gradients
By specifying varying opacity values for the different color stops in your gradient, you can create
gradients that fade in or out and that show or hide underlying artwork. Next you’ll apply a
gradient that fades to transparent on the jellyfish shape.
Select the Selection tool ( ), and click to select the green shape in the design.
In the Gradient panel, ensure that the Fill box is selected. Click the Gradient menu arrow ( )
and then select White, Black to apply the generic gradient to the fill.
