The Split Column command can easily split the ContactName field into three separate
columns.
Although this is not a straightforward undertaking in Excel, it can be done fairly easily
with the Split Column command. Simply right-click the target column and then select the
Split Column option. This will reveal two options:
By Delimiter Allows you to split a column based on specific characters such as commas,
semicolons, spaces, and so forth. This is useful for parsing names, addresses, or any field
that contains multiple data points separated by delimiting characters.
