fulfillment are not going to be found in that type of
relationship because the whole relationship is
predicated on what you’re doing for him. He’s not
going to have the motivation necessary to be the
man you need him to be, consistently.
The reason he’s in the relationship won’t be
because he’s in love with you. It’s not because he
realized you’re his soul mate or that he has this
amazing connection with you. It’s a rationalization.
He simply said, “Oh, she’s the best available right
now. Let me just go ahead and get with her since I’m
ready to settle down.” Chances are, he’s more likely
to eventually cheat because again, you’re not what
he really wanted.
Let me reaffirm my point here. Don’t stick around
in these situations waiting for this guy to finally pick
you. Listen to me, no one needs years to see if they
have a connection with someone. It doesn’t take us
years to tell if a person is someone, we can really see
ourselves with long-term. Yes, there may be some
exceptions to the rule, as always, but for the most
part, people decide very quickly, especially men—
believe it or not—whether they can see true
relationship potential within the first few dates.
