Start by blocking his number. I know that sounds
harsh, but it’s necessary. Even though he’s done you
wrong repeatedly, you’ll probably still have feelings
for him. That’s understandable. I’m not going to
knock you for that, but if you know he’s trying to
call you, if you see his number, his name, it makes it
harder for you to resist not picking up the phone.
You don’t want to weaken your stance in any way.
You must take precautionary methods to help you
stop the cycle.
Blocking his number is going to help you avoid
talking to him and letting him back in. It’s literally
your first form of defense against his charm and
manipulating actions. You can tell him right after
you end it, “Hey, listen, you’re going to be blocked
so don’t attempt to call or reach out to me again.
The door is now shut for good.” Then you keep it
shut and don’t open it back up. Blocking his number
is a must.
Next, don’t entertain conversation under any
circumstances. Let’s say he just pops up on you at
your job, don’t get into a dialogue with him. He isn’t
saying anything new. He isn’t telling you what you
haven’t already heard before. It’s the same script.
