PROLONGED SECOND STAGE
A 20-year-old primigravida at 41 weeks’ gestation has progressed in labor
to 10 cm of cervical dilation and has been pushing for the past 3 h. The
fetus is cephalic presentation, right occiput transverse position. The fetal
head has not descended below +2 station. Her vital signs are stable. EFM
tracing is reassuring regarding fetal status.
