GYN TRIAD
Ovarian Tumor (Sertoli-Leydig)
Ovarian tumor: typically the onset has been rapid without positive family
history.
Abrupt-onset virilization
Pelvic mass
↑↑ testosterone levels
Examination. Physical examination will show evidence of virilization. An
adnexal mass will be palpated on pelvic examination.
Laboratory tests. Testosterone level is markedly elevated.
Imaging. Pelvic U/S will show an adnexal mass.
Management. Surgical removal of the mass, usually a Sertoli-Leydig or hilus
cell tumor.
