- Hide the properties for all layers in the Timeline panel, and then choose File > Save to save
your work so far.
Creating master properties
The Essential Graphics panel lets you create Motion Graphics templates. However, you can
also use it to create master properties, which give you access to specific properties within
nested compositions. Using master properties, you can retain quick access to properties you
need to edit frequently without having to open the nested composition and find the
properties for a specific layer.
To specify master properties, open the nested composition. In the Essential Graphics panel,
choose the nested composition from the Master menu. Then drag properties from layers in
the composition to the Essential Graphics panel. You can rename them and group them just
as you do when creating a template.
To use the master properties, just expand the properties for the nested composition in the
Timeline panel, and then expand Master Properties. They appear just as you’ve set them up
in the Essential Graphics panel.
