History, romance, restaurants, a sizzling nightlife and many other attractions
make Cartagena a must visit during your Colombian vacation. Cartagena is
considered by many as one of Latin America's most preserved and beautiful
colonial cities. You can spend days walking through the city, discovering sights
that you've only seen in movies. Cartagena may also be one of the most
romantic cities in the world. It's the perfect getaway for couples, who can walk
hand-in-hand through gorgeous streets, eat at countless fine restaurants and
stay in beautiful hotels. Many may argue that the beaches of Cartagena are not
that appealing, but others find them to be just perfect. For those with higher
beach standards, a short boat ride takes you to the tropical paradise of Playa
Blanca. For night owls, Cartagena offers countless options for dancing, live music
or for a few drinks.
