There are many different kinds of yoga mats to choose from. Pick one that fits your
lifestyle! I travel a lot, so I have a super-thin, lightweight foldable mat that I take
everywhere I go and a thick, heavy yoga mat at home that always stays put. If you
have sensitive knees I recommend a thicker mat so you have good support for your
joints (and keep a blanket by your side!). Most important, the mat should be a good
size for you and you shouldn’t slip when you practice. If you’re tall, you might need an
extra-long mat, and if you have broad shoulders, you might need a wider mat. It’s
better to spend a little extra on a good quality mat than to buy a cheap mat that’ll
leave you sliding all over the moment you start to sweat (one of the most common
