Dosages (White Hellebore) — Do not take it (JAD); initial internal dose 20–100 mg powdered
herb, or 20–60 drops tincture (HH3; PH2); externally, 5 g drug in 10 g lanolin and 20 g fat as
topical (HH3; PH2); 5 drops herb tincture 3 ×/day (MAD).
Contraindications, Interactions, and Side Effects (White Hellebore) — Not covered (AHP;
KOM). Severely toxic, lethal dose 10–20 mg alkaloids = 1–2 g herb. Alkaloids are transdermally
absorbed (PH2).
