this article has the central objective of presenting the initiative of the
Ecomuseum da Amazônia together with community-based tourism
in Cotijuba Island, Belém-Pa, with special emphasis on the heritage
visitation itinerary, product of the project developed by the Ecomuseum
da Amazônia together with communities of Fazendinha and Poção. In
order to achieve this objective, we started with the collection of primary
and secondary data and on-site research, allowing for a qualitative
analysis of the object. In this context, the role of the Ecomuseum is
understood as fundamental for the sustainable tourism promotion of
specific products and attractions, adding the cultural and natural offer
of the island of Cotijuba.
