Getting Started on the Perfect 10 Diet
Now that you understand how natural fats help you lose weight, and how a diet
of nutrient-dense whole foods is absolutely critical for maintaining good
hormone levels, you’re ready to get started on the Perfect 10 Diet by putting all
this knowledge into practice.
The Three Stages of the Perfect 10 Diet
• Stage One: You will eat 3 meals a day. No grains or alcohol are allowed.
• Stage Two: You will eat 3 meals a day, and now you can add 1 to 3
servings of whole grains to your diet. If you must drink alcohol, do so in
small amounts.
• Stage Three: You will eat 3 meals a day. You can increase your
wholegrain consumption to 3 or 4 servings a day. If you must eat sweets,
do so sparingly.
At Stage Two and Three, cut grains out completely if you start to gain weight.
Carbohydrates
The Perfect 10 Diet allows you to eat liberal amounts of carbohydrates, up to 40
percent of your daily food intake. Remember, the Perfect 10 Diet is not a
lowcarb diet, rather, it is a balanced diet with respect to all macronutrients. By
eating enough of the right carbs, you’ll get plenty of fiber.
In Stage One of the Perfect 10 Diet, your carbohydrates will come from
vegetables, beans, and fruits. In Stages Two and Three, your carbohydrates will
also come from whole grains, such as wild or brown rice, wholewheat pasta, and
wholegrain bread.
