- Hug your family members, and stroke your pet. The sensation of touch
can even boost your immune system. - Take a 1-to 2-minute time-out. If you’re having a bad day, stop for 1 to 2
minutes. Take time out to think about something pleasant—real or
imaginary. This will help calm you down in no time. - Listen to soothing or classical music. Research indicates that listening to
soothing or classical music after performing a stressful task can lower
blood pressure. - Take slow, deep breaths. Stress causes you to breathe heavily, which
makes stress worse. Get control of your breathing. Take the time to
inhale slowly and deeply and repeat for a few minutes. - Laugh a lot. Watch a comedy show or go to a yoga laughter club.
Laughter clubs are gatherings where people meet and fake laughter. The
brain cannot recognize real laughter from fake laughter. Laughing
reduces cortisol and boosts endorphins to make you happy. I do few
laughter yoga sessions from time to time and I always find myself
laughing for real just by watching people. I feel energized by the time I
leave. - Get a massage. Have you ever wondered why you are able to sleep much
better after a great massage? It is the reduction in cortisol that leaves you
relaxed. - Write down what you need to do each day, and prioritize what must be
done first. Do the things that are most important first, and let the less
important things go. Concentrate on doing 1 task at a time. Once you
have finished, take a moment to let yourself feel good about getting it
done.Take a rest, if you need to, and then move on.Time management is a
key step in reducing stress levels. - Relax and do nothing for a few minutes each day.
All these measures will help lower your cortisol level and, in turn, lead to
weight loss.
Follow a Healthy Lifestyle
You need to follow a healthy lifestyle in order to balance your hormones and
become a perfect 10.
- Exercise regularly. If you’re overweight, don’t just sit there—do
something about it. Excess weight is bad for many of your hormones, and
it’s a sign that you have too much insulin. - Quit smoking. You can’t continue to smoke and expect to be a perfect 10.
