Shrimp in Garlic Butter

INGREDIENTS


8   jumbo   shrimp, in  shells
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1½ cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon dry white wine
½ tablespoon snipped fresh chives or parsley, for garnish
Pinch salt

DIRECTIONS



  1. If frozen, thaw shrimp. Peel and devein.

  2. Rinse and dry shrimp.

  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon butter and the
    garlic.

  4. Cook, stirring, until butter is melted. Add the shrimp. Continue to cook,
    stirring frequently, for 1 to 3 minutes, or until the shrimp turns pink.

  5. Loosen any browned bits, and stir.

  6. Add the wine and remaining butter to the skillet. Pour over the shrimp.

  7. Remove the shrimp from the skillet, and transfer to a platter.

  8. Sprinkle with chives or parsley, add salt, and serve.
