There are a number of additional species that have demonstrated tendencies toward
naturalizing, especially near natural areas. While use of these species is not likely to be
regulated by State law, caution must be exercised when planting these near a Forever Wild or
natural area. These species include, but are not limited to Wisteria (Wisteria floribunda and W.
sinensis), Siberian elm (Ulmus pumila), Scholar tree (Styphnolobium japonica), European White
Poplar (Populus alba ), English oak (Quercus robur), Callery pear (Pyrus calleryana), Siebold
Viburnum (Viburnum sieboldii ), Periwinkle (Vinca minor), and Arrow bamboo (Pseudosasa
japonica).
