BOTTOMLAND FOREST


A deciduous forested wetland community occurs along rivers and streams. These river swamps


are seasonally flooded and considered a broad floodplain forest with varying elevations and


land forms. The changing soil elevations and hydrological conditions support diverse vegetation


(USDA 2008).
