For a family-friendly hike (no little

kids, though) off Tioga Rd, take the

recently rehabilitated trail up Mt

Hoffman. About 2.5 miles long, the

trail takes you past May Lake, where

you can take a dip either before or

after your hike. When you’re standing

on top of Mt Hoffman, you’re at the

geographical center of Yosemite

National Park with spectacular views

all around, including of the Tuolumne

River canyon.
