Coast -75-“All you need is Ecuador” recomienda visitar lo que se considera un
pequeño parque jurásico, y es el Parque Seminario , en donde usted
podrá observar iguanas tomando el sol. También aconseja conocer
el barrio de las Peñas, por donde transitaron Simón Bolívar y el Che
Guevara. Actualmente es el mejor sitio de la bohemia artística en
donde se cuenta la historia de Guayaquil como puerto principal
del pais. Sugiere así mismo subir por las escalinatas del Cerro Santa
Ana y llegar al mirador para contemplar el inmenso río Guayas y el
moderno Guayaquil; la restauración arquitectónica hace del lugar
un espectáculo de lo colonial y lo contemporáneo. No podía faltar la
recomendación de ir a retratarse con los Libertadores en el Malecón
Simón Bolívar, en el Hemiciclo de la Rotonda.
Otra actividad que recomendamos es un recorrido por las iglesias
del centro de la ciudad, testimonio de la arquitectura religiosa de
la primera mitad de siglo XX, ya que cuentan con una variedad
estilística muy interesante que va desde el neo gótico hasta el neo
barroco.
